My Brother's Wedding

Miracle of miracles, my older brother, Aaron, who will be turning 50 in December (he'll love that I'm posting that), got married for the first time on October 4th. His new wife and my new sister-in-law, Deann, is a wonderful person who has truly brought added love, happiness, warmth and light to our family.

I had the honor of designing her wedding jewelry for her. I created a Teardrop Swarovski Crystal and Pearl Necklace, Crystal and Pearl Cascade Earrings and a Crystal and Pearl Tiara Comb to match.

The wedding was held at The Stanley House, a historic bed and breakfast inn located in downtown Marietta, which is full of charm and character.

Recent Custom Bridal Designs

I have recently been working on a number of custom bridal designs, that I wanted to highlight. The earrings shown below are a new luxurious bridal chandelier design which is created with Swarovski crystals and freshwaters pearls:

I created a beautiful beaded bracelet to coordinate with the earrings, designed with lots of freshwater pearl and crystal clusters between larger crystal beads.

Next, I'll cover my foray into the world of beaded bridal combs!

My Niece's Wedding, Part 2

Erin's wedding to her fiance, Julius Park, was held at the Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club, overlooking the St. Lucie River in Stuart, Florida. The wedding ceremony was held in a covered pavillion overlooking the water. Although it was a bit breezy, the ceremony went off without a hitch! Being from opposite coasts, Erin is from the East and Julius is from the West, they performed a "Sand" Ceremony. Each gathered sand from their respective coasts and poured it together into a vase to mix it. Thought it was beautifully symbolic.

After the ceremony, the guests were entertained by a steel drum player and the a group of very friendly (well, expect for one) McCaws and Cockatoos. Pictured here are my three children and their cousin, Aly.
There was also a slide show set up inside, documenting both Erin and Julius' lives from birth to present. While we were enjoying the cocktail hour, Erin and Julius were getting changed into traditional Korean wedding celebration dress, called "homboks", which was a wonderful tribute to Julius' Korean heritage.

Following the cocktail hour, we had a sit-down dinner, Erin and Julius cut their wedding cake, and we danced the rest of the night away!

My Niece's Wedding, Part I

My niece, Erin, who I consider to be my "little sister", got married in beautiful, sunny Florida on June 14th. Pictured above are the bridesmaids, which include my daughter, Brittany (second from the left) and Erin's younger sister, Aly (second from the right). I created custom necklaces for them designed with blue glass briolettes and Swarovski crystals. Here's a photo of the main design:

As part of my niece's wedding present, I designed her necklace and earrings, as well:

The "Erin" Necklace is created with two strands of freshwater pearls, accented with crystal ab and golden shadow crystals finished with an elegant pearl and silver box clasp. The "Erin" Earrings are created with crystal and freshwater pearl dangles. Both designs are now available on my website in the Bridal section.

Here's a photo the happy bride immediately following the ceremony:

All the hard work and stress of wedding preparations really paid off--the ceremony and reception couldn't have been more beautiful!
